All You Need Is Jesus

In the natural sense we can have faith in anything we want. We can have faith in finances, our jobs and circumstances. This is where many believers go wrong in their thinking. They feel they have to have faith that is multi-faceted. They believe their faith must work in all kinds of areas in their lives. They feel they have to have faith in healing, for it to work; they feel they have to have faith in finances to be blessed and this is just simply not true.

This kind of outlook on faith presents a major problem because it actually gets us looking to the supply, rather than the source. It would be like me going shopping and I was looking to buy an item. I’m not looking to the place where I’m going to go shopping; I am looking to the item I want to purchase. See, I really don’t care where I get it from, all I care is that I purchase the item and get it at the cheapest price.

When we get our focus on the supply rather than the source, we will look to get what we want, the easiest way. We must understand though that this faith is not the God-kind of faith; it’s only our kind of faith and this is why many times we do not receive. It is not because our faith does not have the capacity to change our lives; but it is because we are so easily waver on our faith. James 1:7-8 clearly states that no man wavering should think that he should receive anything from the Lord.

So, what then is a sure-fire way to receive what you need? The Holy Spirit; He is the one that directs us in the direction it wants faith to go and where He is taking us is further and further into Jesus.

He is not taking us into healing; He’s taking us into Jesus, who is healing. He not taking us into financial prosperity; He’s taking us into Jesus who is provision. He’s not taking us into deliverance; He’s taking us into Jesus the deliverer. What the Holy Spirit is really doing is taking Him further into Himself. We see that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are all one. So really when we are being led by the Holy Spirit, He is just taking us further into God and further into who you really are.

See it’s very important we do not eliminate the middle man. Unlike things in this world, eliminating the middle man does not save you time or money; it just breaks your connection. The only way you receive from heaven is because of the mediator who is Jesus. You must go through Him if you are to receive anything from heaven.

He is the only thing you have to have faith in, to receive anything you want. He gave you a provision when He gave you His name! In Galatians 4:5 it says that we were adopted as sons and daughters and have taken on the name of Christ Jesus; much the same way a wife takes the name of her husband.

We must understand as believers the power of his name. His name changes the surroundings. His name changes the circumstances and puts the miraculous back in Christianity. Understand what a name is. It is a reputation, an identity, a title and a standing. A name is an authority or a character. This is what has been given to the believer, if we could only realize this.

Philippians 2:9 shows us the astounding power of the name of Jesus:

9Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

10That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

We as believers need to realize this astounding fact; all the works of the devil must bow to the name of Jesus. The name of Jesus was given to us to tear down sickness, disease, poverty and for deliverance of any kind. Always remember, the only thing you’ll ever need is faith in Jesus.
